I’m so sorry to hear that - didn’t know he was ill. He will be missed and especially in September, planning on catching up.❤️

Loren, I am deeply sorry you are no longer with us.  I remember greeting you with a "Hi Loren" as your muscly frame sauntered down the hall.  I danced with you at the last reunion and will forever hold that moment when I think of you.  May you rest in peace.  With love, Julie

Loren's obituary appeared in the StarTribune today, April 24, 2017. According to the obituary, "A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, April 26th from 5-8 pm at Gramercy Park, 6711 Lakeshore Drive, Richfield." I know that Al Boline will be traveling from Las Vegas. Al has counted Loren as his lifelong friend, since kindergarten.

Today I was passing time waiting for my car to be serviced at a dealership and was randoming paging through the newspaper.   What a jolt to see a name jump out on the obituary page of a long ago classmate and neighborhood friend, who lived just up the block on Washburn Avenue.  Although I have only talked with Loren a few times over the past 50 years at various reunions, there is always a bond felt with someone you played with as a  small child, and went to grade school, junior and senior high with.  Rest in peace Loren.  You and your family are in my thougths and prayers tonight.
