Michelle Ann Skurauskis, 53, of Ely died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, in St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth.
She was born May 19, 1950, in Minneapolis to the Julius Raen family and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Friends of the Boundary Waters and loved animals, nature and music. She was fascinated with wolves and loved Ely and all of its unique people. The last years spent in Ely were the happiest of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; daughters Ariana and Zandalee at home, and Sheila (Demitry) Lebedenko of San Jose, Calif.; a son, Donald Jr., of Chisholm; two grandchildren, Charlotta and Leo; and her father, Julius Raen, of Minneapolis.
